Following on...

I am making a vow to myself. I will stop dwelling on the petty crap. If it is brought up I will politely say: "I am sorry, I do not want to know anything about that person." If I mention it to any of my friends I am telling them to shut me down straight away. Think I'll give them a code word. Something funny like poopernoogle, or polygomgizzle. Something that will make us laugh and dispel the taint of *those who shall not be named* (very Harry Potter, eh?).

I need to work harder on these:

17. Forgive everyone for everything.
18. What other people think of you is none of your business.

and must remember this:

24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
(Refer to list to live by)

Well, at least it was only a short lived fire up. Those calm blue seas sure do dowse the flames...

Though I think I might add another rule to that list.

26. Pity those who have black spots on their souls.

Good for you. Poisonous people don't need more poison to feed on - you're above that. I got rid of a toxic friend last year - hard as my husband was friend with her husband... But for our own sanity we had to move on, not gossip, bitch and moan about them, and instead focus on our real friends and their positive attributes. Much nicer.

Good luck with it - it'll be tough at first, but then, amazing!

I must admit I was harbouring some lingering hope that it could be salvaged. Stupid, I know. But no more. Onwards, forwards, too many nice people in the world to let the ones who turn out to be not so nice, control you.

Oh please not poopernoogle or polygomgizzle. How am I supposed to say them when we've had a few drinks? Although it will make us laugh whilst I'm trying to say the bloody codeword. We could always activate the "cone of silence" instead. Somehow I'll end up feeling like Smart instead of 99. Think I'll go read some Dr. Seuss, he always has some great new words. Toodles.
