Twitter and all Things Bloggie

It seems to me that a lot of people here utilise twitter to get noticed on the blogosphere. So, tell me about it? I am a technophobe who has no idea about this social tool and how to best use it...

Spill peoples, let me in on the secret and any tips.

I signed up to Twitter back when it first started, for about three weeks. I got bored with it really quickly, although this was before so many celebrities jumped on the bandwagon and it really took off.

I can definitely see the value in using it to promote your blog, but I'm not planning to sign up any time soon, simply because I don't have the time and I don't have a phone with the ability to tweet.

Good luck with it if you decide to join!

I have NFI too, to be honest. I have signed up to Twitter (about 12 months ago!) and maybe I am a social networking dummy, but I just never "got it"?

That said, I had a Farcebook account for ages too, before I realised how much of a great tool it can be......so maybe I am just slow......

well Madmother I have to say....twitter just does not do anything for me... I have joined up and use it to promote my blogs...as in spreading the word about issues and for that it is good... the idea of twitter is txting but on the web so instant messaging... it is very time consuming but can be worth while to spread the word...i do it half heartly...like anything the more you do it the better you get....but for me it is a time factor...so you choose....keep happy...

I have very limited time, most of which I use on here. From the sounds of it, it is more trouble than it's worth.

Think I'll give it a miss.

I have been messing with it for a few weeks now, it takes a bit of time to work up a good network of people. I am still undecided but I do like to have a bit of a play with new things.

twitter is only good for business - when used correctly, or for 15 year old kids with bad acne to act emo/tell the world whatthey ate for breakfast. FACT!
